Angel Red Rezerva 2021 is the highest-ranked wine of the Batič winery.
It is produced only in exceptional vintages.
The first Angel Reserva was a non-vintage cuvée, created from the exceptional harvests of 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Its successor was Angel Red Rezerva 2020.
The third edition, Angel Red Rezerva 2021, bears the signature of an extraordinary vintage marked by a long Indian summer stretching deep into autumn. The harvest of Merlot from the Livišče vineyard took place on October 4th.
Angel Red Rezerva 2021 is a pure expression of Merlot.
After three weeks of maceration, the wine matured for 27 months in carefully selected oak barrels. It was bottled unfiltered, in accordance with biodynamic principles and at the appropriate lunar phase.
A limited tribute to the Vipava vineyard site Livišče — created for long aging and for those rare moments meant to last even longer.
