Most of our Cabernet Franc comes from the oldest Batič vineyard, Jazbine, planted in 1972. The rest comes from the Brajda vineyard from 2013. The 2021 Cabernet Franc was hand-picked and hand-selected on the last day of the 2021 harvest at October 15th in the afternoon. This was followed by ten days of spontaneous maceration with the winery’s own yeasts at October temperatures. The first batch of Cabernet Franc was bottled after 24 months of maturation in 225 litre barrels without clarification and without filtration during the waning of the moon.
