Angel Red is a Bordeaux variety of Merlot and Cabernet Franc in
harmony with Vipava. The body of the wine is Merlot, while
Cabernet Franc provides the balance of the wine.
The Šmihel Livišče Merlot harvest took place on September 21st,
the Cabernet Franc Jazbine on October 7th.
The wines are vinifed separately. The destemmed Merlot was left in contact
with the skins for 21 days, Cabernet Franc for 14 days.
The wine was matured in 225 & 3.600 litre oak barrels for 34
months.
The Angel Red was bottled according to biodynamic
principles, at the appropriate phase of the moon.
